g wagon
The G Wagon is my mobile sanctuary; it's an AWD 2003 Honda Element.
Below are the basic ammenities that allow it to be more or less, a land boat.
liveaboard
The liveaboard is broken down into modules.
- water: 3 gallon glass carboy in a milk crate + 2 gallon plastic water dispenser); lives behind the drivers seat
- pantry: wooden crate + small cooler; includes fuel for the stove; lives in the back back
- kitchen: small caddy with dishes, cutting boards, utensils, knives; lives in the back back
- shed: milk crate full of car fluids, cleaning supplies, misc tools; lives in the passenger legroom area or in the back back if i have a passenger
- bed: a japanese style floor mattress, a bunch of blankets, and a pillow; lives in a net against the back left wall
- stove: a 2-burner propane stove; lives bungeed to the back right wall
- basin: a collapsible wash basin; lives in the pocket on the back right wall
- wardrobe: a large tactical backpack full of clothes that hangs from the back-left cieling handhold, as well as hangers on both rear cieling handholds that have jackets and dresses and stuff
- toiletries: a regular backpack full of bathroom stuff that hangs from the back-left cieling handhold
- library: a duffel bag full of books and computing accessories that hangs from the back-right cieling handhold
- hamper: a mesh bag for dirty laundry that kinda goes wherever it's convenient
- solar: 100W solar panel on the roof and 256WH battery that sits behind the passenger seat (see solar setup on the g wagon for how it was installed)
- desk: a tiny folding tabletop that is bungied to the right wall and a zafu
To make room for the bed (or the desk), all other modules that usually take up floor space in the back are moved and piled into the front seats.
