inflammatory foods
Inflammatory foods include the likes of:
- sugar*
- peanuts
- wheat
- alcohol*
- red meat
- dairy
- caffeine*
Unchecked consumption of these foods can contribute to various health issues including autoimmune diseases, chronic headaches and other pains, and IBS.
*These are also addictive and toxic, so be extra careful. I myself enjoy coffee and alcoholic beverages but I limit myself pretty strictly.
Anti-inflammatory foods include the likes of:
- cinnamon
- tumeric
- black pepper
- oats
- fermented foods
- berries
- deep green/purple vegetables
Balancing one's diet with plenty of anti-inflammatory foods is important for long-term health and quality of life.
