tortilla chips

Store-bought chips? Not even once. Get you some nice tortillas and get real. The critical thing about home-made tortilla chips is the tortillas can not have any gums in them. Store-bought tortillas often contain gums to make them more pliable. While this means you don't necessarily have to warm them before making yourself some tacos, it means they won't crisp up as chips. Locally-made tortillas are unlikely to have gums, so look out for them!
